The HABS-K Savannah (Hell and Back Survival Knife) was designed with bushcraft and survival in mind. Designed by Primal Gear Unlimited and produced locally in Savannah, Georgia in conjunction with John 3:16 Knife Works. The HABS-K Savannah is a custom production knife. Shaping, finishing, grinding, and sharpening are all done by hand to give this knife a “custom touch” that cannot be replicated. This 9.75 inch by 1.5 inch drop point survival/bushcraft knife has 5 inch blade with a 4.75 inch handle with a canvas Micarta handle for a durable grip. Each side of the handle has a bow drill spindle socket for use as a bearing block in case you need to use a bow drill to start a fire and allows you to keep the cutting edge turned away from you whether you are right or left handed. The 1095 carbon steel blade has an HRC of 58 +/- and is a heavy duty 3/16 thick to stand up to any circumstance you need it to get you through. Just in front of the handle there is a nice choyle to use as a thumb rest for tasks requiring finesse. Just forward of the thumb choyle is a inward round choyle for use with the included ferrocerium rod that is designed to throw showers of sparks and evenly distribute wear on your fire steel. The hollow grind on the blade is easy to sharpen and works well in all bushcraft tasks. The leather sheath has a built in belt loop and a loop for your fire steel. This knife was designed with chopping, batoning, and carving you might encounter in the bush to be a breeze. The 3/16 thick by 1.5 inch wide blade makes it a very strong blade with perfect balance and a shape that provides a weight forward feel when swinging it, making chopping easy. Unprecedented chopping power from a 9.75 inch knife.
