In stock

The patented Compact Folding Survival Bow takedown bow, also known as the Go Primal Bow, can be converted from right hand to left hand, arrow speeds averaging 181 feet per second.

This traditional bow is a long bow, but it is anything but traditional.

The limbs can be removed to convert bow from right to left hand, replace limbs, or interchange with different draw weight limbs.

Fold the limbs into the side of the handle for transport and it forms its own compact and durable carrying case.

It is 23 inches long x 1.5 x 1.5 inches when closed and opened is a total 59″ in length.

The folding bow design, with its aluminum riser and fiberglass bow limbs is built to survive the apocalypse, put food on the table, and defend you when you need a silent and powerful self defense weapon, and it is a must have for a prepper who wants to maximize their space.

Weighing in at 2.25 lbs., it is lightweight and can be carried in or strapped to just about any pack or bug out bag.

This collapsible bow is convenient for hunters who want to carry a compact back up weapon to the field. If you are looking for a hunting bow, a take-down bow, or a survival bow this is the collapsible bow for you.

    :

I have only had the product for a week so far so i havent had a very long time to use it but its been perfoming very well. The accuracy is great, it has a smooth draw and it hits hard. Assembles and disassembles quickly and easily and switching it to left handed took all of 2 minutes. Definently recommend it to others and have a few friends who will be ordering one in the near future.

Totally stoked with this bow. It is such a functional bow design for survival. Thanks to the guys at primal gear. Really happy.

    :

I really like the bow, fact that it breaks down, has very cool flat black color to it……shoots well, etc

One problem !!! And Ive read of this elsewhere, and that is the arrow shelf and round tabs affixed to the shelf. The ones closest to my body as I shot began coming apart after only a few arrow shoots…..

I did correct the problem by cutting a strip of Velcro-the rough side and affixed it to the shelf, covering the bottom and up about an inch from the bottom. So far it has held. Come on guys you made a great bow, you gotta come out with something better than whats on there now !!!

    :

It rides in my quiver, takes little time to string, and is quite powerful. My wife said that is was a better deal for $165 than my $480 Compound Bow, that we got used for about the same price ($180)

    Great product!

    :

Cool design but a little bit on the heavy side. When thinking about survival and packing a big pack, weight is a big issue. When you pack your backpack, it’s done in ounces not pounds. This compact bow is a cool toy but that’s all it is. It is NOT ideal for hiking with. Sorry but it’s just to heavy.

I haven’t shot a bow for about 30 years outside of paying $5 for 10 arrows at the fair, and I have to say that I love this bow. Breaks down and put together very quickly and in my non-existent experience shoot very well and accurate. I thought about buying a different “starter” bow for myself, but thought “why practice on something that I am not going to use for real?” I’d buy this again if I had to.

Oh yeah, and the shipping was really fast. I got it before Primal estimated I’d get it. Great company and a great product.

I have received it in a timely manner. However, I will not be able to try it out until next month, because I am currently out of country.

I will update this review at a later time.

I am very impressed with the quality of the bow. I brought it into our local archery shop to crimp a nock set on the bow string and everyone there was floored by the simplicity and elegance of the design. I have a feeling the guy behind the counter and a few others will be buying some soon.

EXCELLENT QUALITY & CRAFTSMANSHIP!!! This bow will last for years. It is everything I had hoped for in a survival bow. Shoots straight and thru with power & precision. SWEET BOW! Even just target shooting in the backyard, at the range, anywhere it’s versatility makes you want to shoot it everywhere…. anytime. Money well spent cannot say enough about this bow. Love this bow, Thanks, guys at Primal Unlimited

Bought this bow for teenager which is big fan of zombie survival staff. But found that the bow is actually very fun to shoot. Accurate and powerful what else need for zombie? 🙂
Very pleased with rapid shipping. Also got extra string for free.

Bow is exactly what it claims to be. A light, compact design capable of delivering killing blows to any game found here in Virginia.

    Like it’s compact adility

  21. 5 out of 5

    :

Not sure at first, had to try it. Glad I did, well made, strong and shoots well. Like the compact size when folded up. Nice small package, yet handles and shoots well. It’s been a while since I shot a traditional bow but after a short time I was shooting good and having fun. I had a little problem with the heavy draw weight. Lighter limbs may have been a better choice. Very happy.

    :

Love this bow! I love how easy it is to fold and unfold. Great to shoot. Very fun product in a small package.

  23. 5 out of 5

    :

The bow is excellent in every way. Aside from the felts on the riser that were torn off fairly quickly however that is no big deal. Overall great experience shopping with you guys. The bow fits perfectly in my bug out pack and is really quite impressive in terms of build quality and it shooting wise it is above and beyond any other survival bow on the market. I actually feel that this product is an actual survival tool and not simply a toy like the other survival bows I’ve encountered. Great stuff.

great product, But poorest customer service I have ever seen! Sent several emails and messages on the phone number provided, Call us: 912-519-0120…Just wanted a tracking number! Was that too much to ask? I am a retired Vet who teaches survival classes, And sadly I cannot reccomend your product due to such poor customer service! If my product broke the first day I couldnt trust a warranty when you cant even return emails or phone calls!!!Ashamed too, Because it’s a great Bow!

    and I expected a lot.
Great bow and exactly what we searched for

    :

I expected a lot, and frankly I thought I would be disappointed. This bow is far better than I had hoped! I haven’t shot a bow for over 30 years and my first 10 shots at 30 yards were all in a 9″X9″ group. Super easy to deploy and I was able to make a pvc camo tube to carry/store it in. Awesome!

    :

It was the most appreciated gift this Christmas! My Dad plans to put it in his go bag and we were all shocked how sturdy but easy to string the CFSB was even at 55-lbs. a great addition to any emergency kit, looks even better than I expected. All around fun and very useful tool. On time with shipping, would recommend to anyone.

    :

I’ve had this bow for two years now, it was my first bow and I have always been happy with it. One of the four Velcro pieces fell off the arrow rest, but that was somewhat expected. I have an extra string but I still have the original on. I have done nothing to maintain this bow, I now have a Korean recurve as my primary target bow, but I shoot a lot so this bow is still used. If you are only buying for survival purposes this is exactly what you need, if you are someone who has never owned a bow I would recommend something a bit more traditional, but as I said this was my first bow and I didn’t have any problems. Great job guys.

    :

Very happy with the purchase and customer support. The had expedited my order and cleared up a mistake that was made when I ordered it. Server issues. Overall the bow is very well made and very strong to fire and should hive years of service.

    :

Im am actually very impressed and happy with my PGUSB.It feels great and the design is awesome, simple and functional. Its my first purchase of a long bow, and Im a rookie 3-4 months into archery.Have shooting recurve only 30-45ilb.

I have actually designed a take down arrow rest, using the velcro strap that comes with it so I can shoot vans or feathers, and it works very well.I can slide the strap with the arrow rest up the riser out of the way to shoot of the shelf and it works quite well.I would like to send you some images of my take down arrow rest for my PGUSB.
I also would like to share a simple arrow rest idea for manufacturing that you could use.

    Thank you for my PGUSB.

Will get some take down arrows soon.

Bought this as a gift for my girlfriends son. He’s into the prepping & survival way of living. I haven’t given it to him yet but I’ve played around with it & think it’s great! Very compact, light weight & easy to use. Good job guys!

    :

After watching a review on twang and bang of the go primal folding survival bow I didn’t hesitate to order one, although I had to wait quite some time due to supply issues of the risers the customer service team were excellent and kept me notified of progress, my only complaint is that the video I watched states that the bow shipped with a supply of take down arrows included but my bow didn’t come with any arrows at all which was a slight irritation but may be down to me living in the UK. But despite this the bow itself is excellent and I will definitely be ordering more products in the future.

you guys are awesome! delivered earlier than expected! product received is in pretty good shape!

  42. 5 out of 5

    :

I started off using a compound and migrated to traditional cause I appreciate the art of instinct shooting. Didn’t feel like the recurve takedown was sufficient for a SHTF scenario and saw Twang N’ Bangs video on this so I purchased it. I shoot this more than my recurve. I’ve had this for a good year now and have lent it to several of my friends and neighbors who never say anything bad about it as it comes from the company. I keep it completely stock. Just ordered the bowfishing version they released and intend to send this one to my brother once I receive the other.
Thanks for the awesome product PRIMAL! Any intentions on releasing cerakoted bows?

    :

Good product, easy to setup and use

  44. 5 out of 5

    :

The Compact folding survival bow is great! It’s very easy to set up and take down and I’m getting better and better at shooting it. I recommend this bow for anybody that’s looking for something compact, yet lethal, that can be stored almost anywhere for quick access.

The only gripe I have is that the felt on the arrow shelf wears fairly easily. I have probably fired about 100 arrows and one of the four pieces of felt on the shelf is almost completely gone. Other than that I love this bow.

First of all thank you to the staff at Primal Gear for their patience, support & professionalism. I am new to archery and the young lady who took my call answered all my questions pertaining to this bow. I greatly appreciated the time she took. I am also new to survival training and this is exactly what I was looking for. Very light weight & easy to put together. I was able to hit a 20 yard target every time. I look forward to practicing a lot more when I head down to Puerto Rico for the next few months. Thank you Dave Canterbury for introducing me to this bow and thank you so much to Primal Gear for helping a retired Army Master Sergeant feel like a teenager again. HOOAH & GOD BLESS YOU

    :

Recieved my CFSB on Friday October 2nd after a 10 day waiting period (which is pretty good considering it came from Georgia to northern Alberta) and took it out the next day. I was immediately impressed with the quality of craftsmanship, and the overall functionality of the bow. My target of choice was a cardboard box filled with newspaper and sand and finally wrapped solidly in duck take. At half draw the arrows went through the box (which was about 12 inches wide) and into the wooden chair the box was standing on – I was standing about 25 yards away. Amazing product! Look forward to potentially getting more for the entire family.

Great company, looking forward to ordering more products.

The bow is amazingly well made and easy to shoot even with a 55# draw.

Very easy to use and carry around.
A piece of paint was chiped off the day I received my bow.

    :

great bow, lightweight, sturdy, shoots well.

  55. 5 out of 5

    :

Due to the heavier poundage, archers will need to hone various skills within the archery mechanics. From the grip to the knock, to the draw, till the point of release, one can assured of power. Couple that with a razor sharp, flesh splitting broadheads, and you have the ultimate silent killer.

  56. 4 out of 5

    :

I really like the product it performs really well. I was a little disappointed when one of the felt dots Were missing on the bow but other than that it’s a really good bow

    :

The bow is great and functions very well. I love it and also the way it can be stored.

    :

Great system will by more limbs shortly.

  59. 5 out of 5

    :

A beautifully simple design well executed. Truly robust/indestructible when folded. I was able to switch limbs from RH to LH in less than 5 mins with two screwdrivers. Will be ordering more spare limbs for this bow – a real keeper.

  60. 3 out of 5

    :

the instruction are not the best. it is confusing on how to switch from right hand to left hand use. Still trying to figure out if I just turn the limbs around or do I have to reverse them top and bottom.

  61. 5 out of 5

    :

I shoot longbow, re curve, compound and crossbow. Of my non sighted bows this one shoots the best for me. I don’t know why, the arrow just seems to go where I want

    :

Arrived a little late, but very cool. Worked perfectly, a delight to shoot. Lightweight, compact, durable, everything as advertised and much less expensive than I was willing to spend to outfit myself for archery.

  65. 5 out of 5

    :

I’ve been shooting recurves since I was 10 love this one shoots like any other I’ve used and it fits easily in my packs

  66. 4 out of 5

    :

Received in a timely manner, was packaged well, however it had a chip on one of the corners of the riser like it had been dropped. Not that big a deal, but all the other reviews I have read talk about how excellent the finish is of this bow. Shoots ok, but does stack heaps above 28 inch draw. For the price it is a good bow to muck around with.

I was very satisfied with my experience with Go Primal Now. I bought the bow as a gift for my husband. He loves the product and I think I got it at a great price!

    :

The bow is very sturdy and excellent to shoot with, I love it. The only thing that I had a small problem with is the felt padding on the arrow rest came off after a few shots, still shoots great.

  74. 3 out of 5

    :

I ordered this bow and I must say; it is really nice. shoots great and is well build. Heck, if I needed, I could just use it as a mallet too. The coating on the bow is 9/10, there were some minor errors in the finishing, and I’m getting it blasted off and re-done but overall, great bow. however, the customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen. I have emailed them multiple times, and not 1 reply. They never reply. So again; great bow, really bad service.

Love this bow already, well made and made in the USA.

I am very pleased with this bow and with the shipment and professional way the people handled it my only problem is that the string came a little frayed but I have a back up string so no big deal all in all I’m happy and have recommended this product to others

Have not shot it yet. The only reason I give it four instead of five. Just looking for something small and light weight. Have strung it several times. Waiting on arrows and case which I ordered a week later. Over all great product.

    :

the bow is great I love it. I actually practice with it every night.

The only problem was when I placed the order it was apparently put on back order. I don’t mind if something is on back order as long as you let me know. I waited 5 weeks before I received the first e-mail telling me it was going to be some time for delivery. Just let me know with a simple e-mail and I won’t pester the mail man every day.

    :

I was surprised at how durable this bow is and it would make an excellent bowfishig longbow. easily stored and can be thrown around without the worry of it breaking. looking forward to many years of use. also amazingly priced when compared to the other bows of its durability and power. The 55 pound CFSB packs a punch without hardly any noise even when compared with my vista sage with string silencers. Overall very pleased with this product.

    :

Never shot a bow in my life, bought this one and it’s great. Not sure how it compares to other bows since I don’t have any, but I can accurately hit a target at 21 feet and if that fails I can bludgeon the target to death. Only downside – it is all metal, so if it’s cold outside, it gets cold. Wear a glove.

I am very pleased with the service and the personnel I have spoken with.
The product is outstanding, and likewise the handling from the company.
I strongly recommend this company to my friends.

I’d like to share my very positive experience with Primal Gear. The bow arrived later than I expected it to, but the company sent me an email explaining the reason for the delay: they were having quality issues with one of their suppliers, so I had no worries. There was another email before the bow was shipped. When I opened the package I found that besides the bow and other items I ordered they had given me a nice present. Thank you very much! People at Primal Gear know how to make their customers happy.
The first impression of the bow was better than I expected judging by photos on the Internet: it has a very substantial feel to it and handles are well rounded. I cannot comment on shooting as I haven’t shot the bow yet with all that snow here.
Will I deal again with Primal Gear in the future? Definitely.

There was a little delay in getting the order shipped due to Low stock which led to frustration. However, when the bow finally arrived, I was very pleased with the quality of the bow. I would order from Primal Gear again.

This bow is amazingly fun to shoot and folds down nice and small for my expeditions. I love it !!

    :

The physical appearance is very nice. Fit and finish is clean. Love the small details like radii for bow limbs. Slider to trap limbs would be nicer than twist screw, flush profile. Nice even pull. Aluminum is built tough. It is my personal opinion that it can be made lighter without sacrificing structure. Thoughts from a Design Engineer.

Had the bow for a week now, even know is a survival bow, I like it as typical use on the archery range just for fun, plus is a second kind of cool, because people at the range keep checking out the bow, they are pretty amazed by how it works

IN my life had more the 20 bows most long style, take downs, full size you name it i tried it. from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars. This bow shoot better Than most without a doubt in the top of my list. all i did set the nock and on the paper in 3 shoots. Best yet it folds, its strong easy to pack and carry. 5 stars

Actually took over a month to get my bow but it wasn’t due to bad service. They had a batch of risers that weren’t quite good enough so he sent them back and had them redone. He stayed in contact the whole time and kept everyone up to date. He also sent a bunch of extra stuff as an apology. I will absolutely order from here again.

Another Monkey here…I can’t complain about anything with this bow. It’s as close to perfection as I can imagine. Even the price is exceptional, not too costly and it’s affordable. The construction and design are remarkable, remaining light enough to add to the pack. Thanks to Dave Canterbury at the Pathfinder school for pointing me in the right direction.

I was a little unhappy that I had to email 19 days after my initial order, as I hadn’t received the confirmation that the order was shipped despite my email saying it would be 3 to 5 days. Other than that I am very happy with the product, and once I received confirmation it did ship quickly which was nice.

My son is a bow hunter and found this while “surfing” the web…he was immediately intrigued! Lightweight, portable, a perfect birthday present when the time came…and it did! I’ll probably have to order again as my youngest son needs this handy item also! Thanks!

Good product, my only question is about the limbs. They are loose when not stringed. Is this normal?
All in all the bow is high quality and verry strong.

Definetly happy to have come across a product like this. Very well made and durable. Just the thing for the “off the trail bushwhacking”. Never have to worry about bush snags again.

    One suggestion for the quiver:
make the belt loop on the quiver velcro so it will accomodate web belts or wide belts in general.
Thank you for an exellent peice of gear!

    I bought the folding bow
It was shipped out fast and I live in Canada
The bow is awesome quality and shoots great
I am very happy with my purchase
And have recommended this bow to my friends

    :

LOVE IT can’t believe how quiet it is .I was concerned it would be noisy because of the folding parts but noway just as quiet if not quieter as my one piece longbow I paid over $800 for. Shoots just as good as well. I’m selling the other bows I have now and just using this one. Only thing I didn’t like is your warranty statement; but I’m sure if anything was wrong you’d come good ,I’ve heard nothing but good things about dealing with you.

As a beginner in achery I don’t have much to compare with. But I really like it. I’m glad I ordered the 40 lbs limbs on the side and I will probably use them instead of the 55 lbs for quite a while.

I’d ordered one of these about a month ago, and it does everything that it’s supposed to do. It’s never more than a mile away from me at any given time. It’s light, compact (easy to unfold/break down), accurate (once you get the hang of it), and very quiet. I’d recommend this bow to anybody that wants a bow for survival purposes, for target practice, and/or for a very affordable price. I’m a happy camper.

Thanks for a great bow. Typical of American made products this bow is made to last out of high quality materials. I like how it can easily be tucked into a backpack so I can ride my motorcycle with it. I was surprised with how quickly I received my bow. Coming before something I got mailed from the other side of my own country at the same time. Thankyou very much Primal Gear.

Thank’s for the bow arrived at town post office in one piece, I had no doubt it would, customs are happy they got paid as well. I’ve yet to try it out, we have a local archer here in Lloydminster alberta/sask named Exile I can pick up some arrows there or cabelas. I like the idea of your break down arrows ,i’ll try them next year. If you want send some business cards my way i’ll spread your name around up this way for more business, I’m sure they’ll like this bow, & accessories you offer. happy new year & all the best to you all, GLENN. The versatility in this bow is nothing short of brilliance. Combined with the regular functioning of a longbow and a pretty durable blunt weapon, this bow is ideal for any survival situation. The 6061 aluminum riser won’t damage easily, so I know I’ll be having this bow for a long time. I believe this was well worth it!

    :

I found the compact holding bow to be adequate efficient the only thing that concerned me was the drawback length I am about 6 foot so the drawback length didn’t quite work for me when I pull it back to line up my site it’s more in front of my lips then by my cheekbone for a proper shot. But other than that it’s awesome. Definitely going to be going with me on my backpacking trips. I just need to come up with some kind of carrying device to hold it and A quiver that holds 3 to 5 arrows

Have changed my review, due to the absolute excellence of this bow, and it’s ability to survive in extreme conditions.
I just came from a weekend in the bush, under a non-stop rainstorm, and harvested some small game with this bow. No other bow could have withstood the treatment that this bow went through, from the rain, to heavy bush, to getting knocked around while climbing.
The shipping wait time was pretty extreme last year, and that’s my only complaint. Have just ordered their quiver, so hoping shipping will be faster.

I like the product and shipping was prompt

I took my bow to my local archery shop and had them check the poundage. They said it’s putting out between 53 to 58 pounds depending on the draw length. Mine is 28 so I’m pulling the high scale. The felt pads on the rest concerned me at first but after about 400 shots, I realized they’re feather friendly. The average GPS is 165 for my bow. I teach survival skills. This bow is now in my bag. Thanks Primal Gear.

My vegitarian buddy stopped buy to check it out after I told him it arrived after only a week. He has never shot a bow before and has been back 4 times to mess with it he will be ordering one soon I believe, soon after that I hope to break him of his wickedness and take him hunting…. ps. We are both on target with this bow its a blast to shoot. Thanks for the great product.

im not a expert on shooting bows but after using couple of bows out there for about a year, this is the #1 bow that i would recommend to my friends.
It’s also really accurate. I usually suck at instinctive bow shooting but this one performs better than the other bows.
I also like the materials and finishing on this product, it is built to last.
I would definitely buy the next generation of folding bow if they are upgraded.
Shipping cost is a little bit high since i live at South Korea (about $50) but it’s really worth the price.

First I want to say thank you for your great customer service. Now I will give my opinion on this bow its just my opinion I’ve only been using long bows, recurve and compond bow since 1975. So here it goes 1) shoots great for what it is. 2) it should have quiver option.2) better grip is a must .3)there should be 55lbs to 70lbs limb option. 3) it’s quite, very smooth.4) Maybe Different color option.other than that wow very nice.

I’ve just received my CFSB-1, the updated version. It took about twelve days to travel halve past the world but there ‘she’ is. Can’t wait to get out there and get the ‘Primal Gear’ feeling. Thank you for adding the Fire Steel Starter. Reminds me that I forgot to fill in my order completely. Yes, I am refering to the extra string. How sad ( 😉 Brielle has now a very enthusiast archer in their community. That’s the most important thing. Thank you for making this fine product available.

I was absolutely thrilled when my bow finally came in ( two weeks after ordering). I immediately put my arrows together that I ordered with it… two of the six arrows lost some fletching due to the hook and loop style 3M tape on the shelf… So I immediately tore it off and replaced with felt. BOOM! All fixed and works spectacularly!

    :

The bow is very nice. The customer service is the best. I was going in a tripp to my family and had ordered some items as gifts. The excellent folks at goprimalnow made sure my order was delivered on time despite delays from their manufacturer.

    :

It is a good lightweight compact bow for camping or hiking.

  155. 4 out of 5

    :

The bow came in after a good week of waiting and it was pretty much everything I expected it to be. A tough durable compact frame and it was extremely sturdy when strung. It’s not going to win any contests but it’s a survival bow at heart.

The only Cons I have about this bow is that the string does not come with a nock which would have been a nice addition since the nearest archery store is 20 miles from where I live.

Also the screws used to fold in and found out the limbs are Plastic and feel sort of cheap and for a survival bow it’s suppose to go the distance and plastic to me doesn’t do that. If it weren’t for that then I would give this product a 5/5

  156. 5 out of 5

    :

Excellent product. Could have had better instructions on how to string the bow. Thankfully there are plenty of people on you tube to show multiple techniques.

***We also have videos on each bow page with demonstrations.***

Just got my CFSB today and I have to be honest…. it is freaking amazing!!!! I have never used a bow before in my life and once I got it ready I was hitting an 11×17 inch target from 10 yards away. That may not sound spectacular but as I stated, never used a bow in my life. The bow is extremely easy to use and is a lot of fun to shoot. This is a great product and from the craftsmanship it will last a lifetime. The compact size when folded fits perfectly in my backpack. Overall… Great quality, easy to use and super fun!!!! I highly recommend this bow to anyone looking for a sturdy, compact and simple yet fun bow.

    :

This bow is great. It folds up and deploys quickly. Very accurate and very light weight. One of the minor drawbacks is the grip is smooth and I will be adding a small bit of grip tape to counter this. Also if you could figure a way to secure the strap to the bow instead of having to re secure it. Maybe with a bolt or something? All together this bow is awesome.

    :

Very nice bow, it was very simple to convert to left hand shooting, and also very simple to string and unstring. The aluminum frame feels very solid and I trust it to survive whatever I put it through. A piece of advice, do not get the 55lb if you are new. I’m learning that the hard way.

  166. 5 out of 5

    :

Awesome bow! Lived up to ask my expectations. The soft fuzzy pads for the arrows to rest on have started to come unglued after 2 hours of usage.

    :

Today I finally got a bow ordered from your store.Excellent made, smooth draw, perhaps only complaint to the handle, which is harder to hold in sweaty hands, which can be solved self-adhesive grip. Shooting your bow was absolutely amazing. I was able to hit a target the size of two inches, a distance of eight yards, which was unthinkable for me from my Bodnik horse bow. Tomorrow try long distance shooting, I believe the results will be the same. Thanks again for your great bow, and I wish you much success in your business.

I bought these for a bug out bag. So far I have shot about 25 arrows and it has lived up to all my expectations. I didn’t think that it was going to be rugged enough but when I got it is VERY WELL built solid bow. Also packaging was very nice every thing was bubble warped. Shipping took about a week but well worth the wait!

Everyone was so amazed by how powerful and quiet the bow is. Its a lot of fun to shot whit the bow, and this bow is good enough to hunt already. Such a great survival bow.

  172. 4 out of 5

    :

As stated the bow and concept is great. Only one complaint is that I ordered a 55 pound bow. As soon as I shot it I knew it was not pulling that. Took it to the local archery shot to have them test it and with a brace height of 7 3/4 it was only pulling 43 at 28. I didn’t follow through with the company to express my issue so i can’t comment on their return policy or anything. This bow is pretty accurate compared to my recurve. Instead of the arrow rest that comes on it get some industrial Velcro (the fuzzy side) and slap it on.

    Love the bow.

I ordered this bow, and the case for it. I requested that they ship the bow inside the case, and they did. When it arrived, I felt like a kid at Christmas.

I live in Calgary, Canada, and the time from order to arrival was very quick. The bow rven sailed through customs without problems.

I will be ordering from them again.

    :

I have been shooting compound and recurve for some time. I was instantly more than satisfied with this bow after shooting my first 3 arrow grouping. It is now my favorite of the 3 bows I own. Very sturdy bow that is very well thought out and very well made. I have no complaints.
I did alot of research on forums and youtube before deciding to drop the hammer and it was everything and more of what I expected. It will be my truck bow. I wore out the rear felt dot silencing pad on the shelf very quickly. I called customer service and they were very helpful. They said my knocking position was too low. They sent me new dots at no charge. I moved my knocking position up and problem solved.

I am addicted to target shooting with this thing. I cannot wait to take some pigs with this bow.

I’ve fired roughly 150+ Arrows from this so far and I’ve had a blast! From shooting at plastic Dinosaurs (training for varmints), my “Blackhole” foam target, or Cisco Switch Foam haha this bow gets it done and is too fun to shoot. I have a (right)shoulder injury on my medical records(I fire R handed) so I was a bit worried about the #55. But despite the weight I drew it back easily! Thank you for a very sound product that meets my needs! I look forward to working up to actually taking game with it. Also worth noting, the black coating on the bow isn’t “Heavy Duty” but that’s where you can get creative! My bow has lost it’s black finish around the arrow rest and on the bottom of the riser (i dropped it in it’s compact form) but I just took my Fiance’s lime green nail polish and and put a few coats on. No big deal. So now I have a few stripes of green in various places which adds character from my perspective.

I lack the knowledge to make a great review. My buddy, who knows way more about archery than I, says it shoots nice and fast. It works good with the V6 arrows. I really enjoy “plinking” with it.

Having no prior experience shooting a bow, also no lessons on proper technique passed a ‘how to’ video on youtube, it was extremely gratifying to listen to the sound of a target being punctured from a reasonable distance away lol. Horrible shot group due to my lack of experience. Hopefully soon enough I’ll be hitting bulls eyes after some real lessons. Very fun to shoot! I’m also blown away by the reasonable price for a quality product!

Its one of the best bows I have owned. Now I have to a 50lbs and a 55lbs bows. Big enough for large game. Archery season’s will be fun now

This bow was exactly what I was looking for easy to set up can be packed in any bag or gear and is not just a Survival bow , but the only bow I own.

    :

I’ve wanted to get into archery for a long time but I never really had the money to start. I was never interested in compound bows, I’m more into traditional style. This is the first bow I have ever owned and I am very impressed with the quality of this product, especially for the price. I will definitely remember PGU when making purchases in the future. Thank you for this amazing product!

  188. 5 out of 5

    :

I would like to start off by saying this is the first bow I have ever owned. I shot my brother in law’s compound bow a couple of times so I would say I don’t know anything about archery. Having said that, I got the bow and called up Jeff at primal gear and he explained to me how to convert the bow to left hand, how to string it, and how to install the no gloves. He was very helpful. I then went outside and just started shooting at five yards and was hitting the target (you gotta start somewhere)! I watched a couple of the videos on the primal gear website and you tube and I am having a blast.

  189. 5 out of 5

    :

Wanted a more portable alternative to my compound bow for shooting in the garden or at the cabin or basically anywhere. Since I don’t have a car (and don’t need one), this was a no-brainer. Have used it for a couple of weeks; it’s a sturdy system and it shoots straight and consistent. Great fun! Thanks! 🙂

I have being watching closely reviews for this bow and I ordered one 55 lbs and got delievered to me in 5 business days, when got mine I went to the range and everyone couldn’t believe it, draw weight feels like 40lbs and easily shoots at 185 fps and up.
For the money there isn’t a better bow on the market, I want to thank the team from primal gear this is a great experience, having this bow and performing the way it does is definetly one of the highlights of my week.

This is a fantastic tool whether you want an easily stowable weapon for emergencies or if you just want a portable bow for practice or hunting. It has a smooth draw and the poundage stacks nicely with the draw length. It’s a little noisy on the shot but nothing some silencers can’t fix. The round female Velcro tabs on the arrow rest aren’t very permanent but I rest the arrow on my finger anwyay. The only real downside is how heavy it is since it is mostly metal. However the benefits of having something so compact and easy to set up outweigh the downside in my opinion. All around a solid bow and well worth the money.

I was concerned that the bow would take a while to ship, but it arrived in 3 days after I ordered it. I was very happy. The bow is of exceptional quality and REALLY fun to shoot. I’m gonna order another one for my camping bag. I love this bow!

I bought this bow for my boyfriend. He was completely ecstatic over it! He really likes the way the poundage stacks up at the end of his pull. The bow is spot on straight out the box! This is an excellent product and would recommend it to anyone interested in archery!

    Love the folding Bow –

Suggestion – let some company make a dedicated black nylon, reinforced combination storage and quiver with the finished product being not much longer than the bow itself. Arrows can stick out some and the entire pack would backpack as a quiver ready for be used with your first line bow. Built in Knife picket, zipper cargo pockets, [small one on the bottom for fire starter & whistle], MOLE loops and white logos. YUP – I would buy one tomorrow. //ji

    :

This is an excellent bow and it folds up perfectly and is amazing to carry around. The only suggestions I have is a longer version as I have a long draw length at 6’2.
The other suggestion is a small shelf so that it isn’t so ridiculously hard to avoid string slap. The way the grip is, you have to have the bottom part of your hand touching the bow.

Still finding the proper arrow for myself . The bow shoots amazing for speed and groupings so far. I’m sure I will love this bow for years and years. No better feeling than shooting consistent groups on a traditional style bow. Awesome!

This Bow far exceeded my expectations; to say I’m impressed is an understatement. The feel, the quality and the shooting experience was amazing when I unpacked it and shot it for the first time.

As a SERE Instructor for the DoD, I have taught men and women from every
walk of life and from every branch of our Service. From Special Forces,
Pilots, and ground forces to support personnel. I primarily teach Survival
and Evasion to our students and as such, am considered a Subject Matter
Expert in this field. I have carried the CFSB for over three months in our
training area. During hunting season, I harvested one doe, two opossums,
and a 2′ plus carp out of a small river. I have also used this bow in its
folded up position (as a bludgeoning device) to dispatch a small rabbit that
was caught in a survival snare, by one of my students. This bow performed
as advertised, much quieter than I thought it would be, considering its
construction. All creatures that I have dispatched with this bow were
taken with the take-down arrows using 100gr cut on contact broad heads,
except for the bunny. The deer ran about 30yds and expired quickly after a
28yd on the ground (stalking) shot, all other critters expired instantly,
except the carp. Let me be clear, I did not just grab this bow and go
hunting. It takes practice to gain accuracy while instinctively shooting a
bow, but with a little time and practice, this bow is just as deadly as any
other. I personally would not take a shot at any game beyond 35yds, that is
mostly due to my skill level and confidence at instinctively shooting beyond
that distance. As for its designed purpose, it is an excellent tool for any
outdoorsman, survivalist, prepper, etc. to add to their Go-Bag, I will be
doing the same with mine. I believe it could also be a good
survival/evasion item for military forces to carry with them if it could be
made a little smaller(in its folded position). I say this only because our
ground forces carry so much gear already, they would be hard pressed to find
room in their ruck. All in all, this a truly fun bow to shoot in the
backyard or hunt with. I would recommend this bow to anyone building a long
term Go-Bag or Survival Kit. Make sure you get the Take-down arrows, they
proved to be an invaluable asset to the CFSB 55!

I’ve never shot a recurve bow before and this one performed well. I had to learn how to aim with it, which took time. You can hear the arrows going through the air when you shoot. It is powerful and very compact, I would highly recommend this product.

  212. 5 out of 5

    :

The bow is very sturdy and I banged it up a bit to test out the durability of the limbs and it held up well. It has a weird feel when drawing but I am sure I just need to get used to it and not compare it to my recurve. I can’t wait to take this out for a test run. For future buyers I would suggest in getting the case and take down arrows.

  213. 5 out of 5

    :

This is a terrific folding bow that is straight-foward and simple, without the bells and whistles. After I made a stringer from a bicycle inner tube and some paracord, I was quickly able to get some decent groupings with this PGU bow.

  214. 4 out of 5

    :

Received the bow quicker than I anticipated. It has to be be one of the ugliest bows I have ever seen but it is also one of the funnest to shoot. it is very accurate and I get tight consistent groups. What I am disappointed about is that I ordered a bow with a 55# draw but it is really about 41#. (I had it tested at our local archery range and my draw length is 28.5″.) Primal Gear has not returned my phone call concerning this.

Other than that everyone thats seen it loves it and I
    give it a thumbs up.

I was intrigued by the design. Haven’t fired it yet. To damn cold to be out there up here.

    :

Very happy with this bow. Shooting with Carbon Express Predator 2 6075 arrows with feathers, it shoots very nicely indeed. I was worried the folding aspect might be a bit of a gimmick and it might be good at folding but not shooting. Not the case. The bow does stack the weight heavily at the end of the draw due to the short limbs but this does not bother me, personally. I think feather fletches are a must. Nice job.

Nice, compact bow. Concerned about the ergonomics of the riser in that most of the angles where the palm meets the riser are mostly edges and not curves.

    :

It actually feels a little heavier than expected, but shoots extremely well. Having not shot a bow in almost 10 years, I was landing 3″ groups in the bullseye within about 45min ay 15 yards.

    :

As a business owner myself I tend to be very picky when I buy I like to see how they handle my order and so on I know what to look for I find myself trying to find a fault any time I buy something. But I can’t find anything wrong with go primal I am a survival/camper/hiker I love it all! and I have been in to archery for 20+ years I love it! And I miss the feel of a long bow you can never go wrong with old school. This folding bow gives me everything I want and more. I really like the fact I can take it any ware with me its 2.2 lbs. it fits in just about any pack out there. The way the belly is made for the folding bow makes it very easy to turn this in to a fishing bow. Bow fishing is very fun and this bow makes it easy for me to do both without spending a lot.

To the owner and craftsmen of this company and bow you guys are A+++ keep up the good work! And show America that made in the USA means above and beyond quality

Great bow, construction and versatility is great, meaning if you are left hand draw or right hand draw, just when you purchase it rotate limbs to your preference.Limbs are made of high quality material.Putting a string is a breeze.Very easy and light to do, no hassle like with re-curve bow.I already have more people interest just by showing how easy it is to put it together. What attracted me to purchase this bow, when you take other bows apart, than you have to deal with curved limbs. This bow is stealthy enough to fit into your backpack.I really highly recommend this bow, this is a fine product from a fine company!

I searched all over for a bow like this and there isn’t anything like it, especially of this high quality.

In addition to the high quality and functionality of the bow, I would like to comment on the company’s outstanding service, particularly Ms Heather Barber. She was very helpful to me when I explained the circumstances of my order and came through with flying colors…and I really appreciated that! The bow is extremely well made and durable. After demonstrating to my friends, they now want one. Thank you for the great product and service! V/R W. Wagner

    :

More Durable and accurate than I thought that it would be .. most compact of any survival bow on the market .. Works way better than expected!!

  238. 5 out of 5

    :

To be honest, I bought this bow just for fun, because I did not have high expectations, mainly because of collapsible design. But after only 2 days of testing and practising, this bow has earned permanent place in my hiking rucksack. It is easy to shot from it and unexpectedly precise. Collapsible design, what seemed as biggest flaw is actually greatest advantage. There is no rattling noise of any kind. It is a serious bow on which you can depend when needed, highly durable as many video reviews confirms.

I had also pleasant and unexpected surprise after opening package. Guys from Primal Gear Unlimited packed additional bow string and simple backpack, and as cherry on top, hand signed gratitude for buying their product, which is something that you do not see any more these days.

Primal Gear Unlimited now definitely have one more happy and returning customer.
Best regards from Croatia and thank you on this wonderful bow.

    :

I must admit, I was a bit sceptical about buying this Compact Folding Survival Bow. I watched and read the reviews and couldn’t find anything bad about them. I just thought that maybe it would be a little junky kinda like those survival knives that were around in the 80’s with the compass on the back and matches in the handle. I was very pleased when I examined the bow with my engineering mind. Solid and very well thought out. I couldn’t resist setting it up and firing a few of the take down arrows I purchased down the hallway at a phone book (much to my housemates dislike). The bow is a quality item that I plan to have in my day bag when I go fly fishing. One would need a little practice as there are no sights but it is definitely a very capable bow and worthy of the title survival bow.

    :

I’ve owned the Xspectre (30#) “survival” bow for several months and have been please. Not going to knock Xspectre – but the Primal Gear bow (55#) blows it away mainly due to the fact that it has a solid arrow rest and the Xspectre only has a goofy piece of wire.

I was popping the bull’s eye at 40′ after 6 shots. The Primal Gear bow will be my go-to backpack bow from now on fo’sho!

  249. 5 out of 5

    :

Although I have not yet field tested this compact survival bow I must say that the design and construction is indeed impressive. Easily packable and obviously durable construction.

    :

I have been shooting the CFSB-1 for two months now and it is one of the best bows I have.
The set up is quick, swing out the limbs and lock them down, string the bow and you are done.
Being all synthetic I have no problems with shooting the bow in any weather or close to water, which is good as the local authorities are re introducing bow fishing.
I have shot alloy, carbon and wood arrows from the bow and after a little experimentation I found that 11/32 POC shafts with 4″ fletch info an a 150 g board head give me the best consistency out to sixty yards.
The only gripe I have is the profile of the handle, the squire shape forces my hand into an unnatural position. If you do re profile the handle into a more comfortable shape, I’ll buy the improved bow.

    Well done to PGU.

    :

    Its pretty badass 🙂

  252. 5 out of 5

    :

Awesome bow! The only thing that could improve it is if there were a built in storage compartment for the string when not in use. I understand that this may compromise the structural integrity of the bow and that may be the reason you haven’t considered it. I just wanted to throw it out there.
I’m having so much fun with it and will be back for another!

  253. 4 out of 5

    :

The quality of the arc is at the top!

However it could be improved by adding a locking system for when it is closed and adding a place to fold the rope inside the arc so you don’t need to use the velcro.

I am very happy for my purchase!

Works really well. Stores in the rucksack or on the outside of it easily. Assembl;es in seconds. Great bow to shoot. Built to last…..what can I say but thanks guys!

    :

The bow fits well into my backpack for a backup bow while hunting and will be used a go-to choice if I become stranded while working in the mountains. I am ambidextrous and it converts well to either right or left hand draw, shoots well, and seems materially stable.

  256. 5 out of 5

    :

Excellent shipping and communication. They were with me the whole way. The bow is perfect and works as described. I love the compact size that allows me to put the bow in my go bag with out losing a lot of space.

I want to say that I have been so impressed with the quality of craftsmanship of my survival bow. I intend to hunt with it this season if I can make time and show it ability to take deer sized game. Machines aluminum riser and solid fiberglass limbs that never die…lol everybody knows you can still fish with a old solid fiberglass pole, or hunt with an old solid fiberglass recurve.

  259. 5 out of 5

    :

This is my first traditional bow! I have to say I was horrible with it at first but after a few days of practice I am pretty good. This bow is accurate and performs well. I am using it as my primary bow for hunting and just waiting to take my first animal with it. Very lightweight and easy to carry in the woods.

    :

Nice bow and easy to use

  261. 5 out of 5

    :

I’ve been looking for a compact bow like this one for years. I started shooting recurves, and my last bow was an english longbow, but transporting the bows to and fro was always cumbersome. This bow is sturdy, comfortable, and accurate, and best of all i can fold it down and slip it into my quiver. Could not ask for a better bow, and at the price, it’s a steal.

I found out about this bow on YouTube the pathfinders school with Dave Canterbury and it was just perfect for my needs so I ordered it, even though the postage was high It did feel a bit of a gamble! But wow is this bow sweet!!! I would pay twice the amount I did for it as its such a great tool I am 100% satisfied with this product it works like a dream and is mighty powerful and accurate, I rarely say this about anything I buy, but this survival bow is perfect in every way I just can’t emphasise that enough, thanks to Heather and her team for such a first class bow and a first class service, 10 out of 10 the best product and buying experience I’ve had so far from anywhere!

i spent a long time researching a suitable bow for my needs and found nothing to rival the CFSB-1. its amazingly innovative design combined with outstanding quality manufacture mean this is the best. i cant fault the product or the high level of service i recieved. i was amazed it arrived so quickly – living in ireland i expected weeks of waiting in anticipation but a week and a half later it arrived. all this and at a reasonble price compared to the same draw weight 2nd hand bows i viewed on ebay.

Just took delivery of my compact folding survival bow. I am very impressed with it, its a rare thing to purchase a product that exceeds all your expectations. From the innovative design to the quality of the materials & manufacturing, the CFSB-1is a classy bit of kit and I’m a very happy customer. If you only buy one bow off the internet this year make sure its a CFSB-1

    :

Excellent product and I’m thinking about ordering another one when you get more in stock.

  271. 5 out of 5

    :

What first attracted me to this bow was the fact that it could be tossed into a bug out bag and it wouldn’t take up much room. I’m happy to report that it fits this role perfectly AND is an amazing bow as well. The draw is very smooth, much smoother than I expected and its accuracy is excellent. I have since invested nearly sixteen hours with this bow at the range and the only noticeable wear and tear is the gradual fraying of the felt on the arrow rest, which is easily fixable. The limbs have not taken any set yet and the bow string shows no sign of wear either. I’m extremely impressed with this bow and to cap it off, the price cannot be beat. If Primal Gear decides to release a heavier poundage, I will be in line to get another.

  272. 5 out of 5

    :

I love this bow, easy to set up and to store away. The bow is solid no faults with it at all. Very easy to shoot and be accurate with it. 55 pound draw weight is more than plenty to kill just about anything. I may also buy the brown bow in the future.

  273. 5 out of 5

    :

The survival bow is a must for any bug out bag, or hiker. LOVE IT!

Very happy with this awesome foldable bow, compact, strong and powerful. I enjoying shooting it so much I don’t even want to use my $500 compound bow anymore. Will recommend to anyone who want to start archery.

    :

Just want to thank you for your great products!

I’m a Chinese, working and living in Japan, recently I took up instinctive archery as a hobby. I was looking for a bow, but normal recurve bows and compound bows are just too expensive. I searched on the internet and find your folding bow at last.I tried your bow in the weekend and had a great fun! It is very stable during the shooting and is strong enough even it is a folding bow. Also when it is in folded form, it will be very easy to carry. Considering the high quality, the price is incredibly cheap for me, you know, usually it will cost you at least $2000 to buy a bow because there is no any domestic archery maker in Japan, all archery goods need to be imported from overseas so the prices are really high here.

At last, sorry for my poor English but I really want to express my thanks to you again for your great quality products and service. Looking forward to purchasing more items from you in the future!

This bow is a very well put together how and it shoots perfectly, the only problem I had was there was no grip on the metal (not a big deal) so I just went to big 5, bought some sports grip tape and it worked great

This is a great product, especially for some one who wants to travel light and compact.

The quality of the product is also extremely good, and I highly recommend it.

I bought this bow using the Pathfinder website. The bow shipped fast and was everything that it was advertised to be. Going to be a fun Pack bow for weekends in the bush. Thumbs up!

Took the bow out to the local range to try it.
The reaction of the bow, the compact nature, and the craftsmanship, makes this purchase, a home run.

Received the bow. Took it out, great grouping at 15 yards. Doesn’t feel like a 55lb pull. Highly recommend as a backup bow.

Good bow that shoots well. It took six weeks for it to arrive even though my card was charged the first day. I will order again but wish they would communicate better.

    :

This bow is awesome! It is one of the most ingenious survival items ever. Concealed carry for bow hunters! Hahaha. It is of the highest quality materials and unlike many survival items (for use in a pinch without the real thing) I am enjoying actually “using” it. This bow is a must have! Jeff and Heather are great people too. An added bonus getting to know such wonderful folks.

    :

I love my new tool. I ordered the 55lb draw Survival Bow and received it PDQ. I was most pleased with the fast shipping, Heather Barker’s handwritten thank you and I’m very excited and looking forward to giving this thing a workout in the next few days.

    Thank you

    :

Never thought the quality and craftsmanship would be that good. Not to mention the way it shoots is phenomenal. Of course part of that is my excellent shooting skill with an instinctual bow (wink wink) but in all seriousness I wont have any problems putting food on the table with this bow an it fits nicely in my pack.

  296. 5 out of 5

    :

There was a back order on the Compact Survival Bow when I ordered mine but, I was kept up to date on the progress. When it arrived, the quality was excellent! I love the size and can’t wait to take it out on a hike/hunt. Highly recommend to anyone!

    :

The only addition I would recommend would be a stabilizer/attachment insert as standard equipment for bow fishing/hog hunting, etc…. Shooting dead nuts on at 20 yards, (after compensatining elevation for 50 lb bow) this set up is accurate out to 40 yards with Beman Center Shot, full brass inserts with 100gr. filed points, not cut and left at 31″. Took me a couple of bare shafting tests to get there. 125 gr. will work, but get a little drop. 100 gr. tips are point on. For those who build there own arrows, this might be good information. Have fun….

  298. 4 out of 5

    :

I love it! Got it a couple weeks ago and already grouping shots within ten inches at 25 yards! Easy to shoot, stows away in back pack. Really diggin it! The only down side I would say is that the arrow rest is peeling up already (easy fix) and one of the arrow tips (female end) came loose. No biggie….thanks Primal gear!

    :

One of the best folding bow out there !!! Only thing is it took to long to get it … Be side that I love it !!!!

    :

Delivers above its claims. Smartly designed, well constructed. Pleasure to draw. Use your imagination on how to enjoy this compact, folding bow. Easy to keep discreetly in the car. I am trying to work out a shoulder harness for “runarchery” through the bush.

I am very happy with the bow, It lives up to my expectations. Nice action , very sturdy, yet simple, Perfect for hiking as it will stow easily. I will buy another for my buddy. Good strings too. Thanks very much.

This bow is amazing, fast for a long bow, and sleek & easy to carry. You will love it the very first time you shoot it!

    :

The bow is awesome ,after shooting it it’s very accurate feels good and feels very similar to other traditional bows .
    I am impressed with it.
    I Would recommend it.
I have not had it long enough to test it’s durability, and longevity. But it is so simple I think it will be ok.

An EXCELLENT sturdy bow, which has a lot of power. Worth waiting for!!!!!!

Extremely happy with the bow. Have got a lot of complements and referred you to several people .

    :

I really like the bow but the only issue and the reason I gave it a four rating is because it takes a long time to ship. It took 6 weeks. But it is nice nevertheless.

    :

But this Folding Survival Bow is easily my favorite to shoot. Well built, comfortable to hold, easy to use. Customer Service is First Class all the way.

  309. 5 out of 5

    :

Great bow. Glad I was able to get the 55lb instead of 60lb since I am not as strong as I though I was. But after my first shots, I was able to see how effective it is for a folding bow.

  310. 5 out of 5

    :

I am impressed by the quality and light weight of this bow and it arrived promptly after they said it had shipped.

    :

    I’ll start with Fantastic!

I do a lot of backpacking and camping. I wanted something quick to assemble, quiet and manageable for defense or hunting. I came across the Primal Gear Unlimited CFSB-1. However, like many others with similar interests I had to wait! I’m happy to say the wait was well worth it. In about 15 seconds, (after reading the instructions) I had it strung up and headed outside to take some shots.

This riser is nicely made, the limbs are nice and cleanly cut. A complete quality package for those “just in case scenarios” we humans tend to find ourselves in. Thanks for the product, it’s an absolute joy to shoot, carry and put away just as intended. My father-in-law will be placing his order soon.

Thanks again Jeff and Heather, my hat is off to you and your supporters. I know you’ve been working hard to get these out. Keep up the good work!

    Chad

Love these bows and the best customer service.

  313. 5 out of 5

    :

I have used and built take down down bows, both longbows and re-curves, for more than 25yrs.

This bow is exceptional!, easy to string, and so VERY smooth to shoot…. I have one of the original designs and I find the stacking to be very minimal, much less than other traditional bows I own. So the new design must be amazing. Once I made a new set of arrows with the specific spine weight for this bow, It hits the target HARD!!!

The only thing that could be better but understandably out of their control is the wait time for shipment, Just a new company with growing pains and the wait time should not be an issue in near future.

Thank you Jeff and Heather for answering every question and being so very good to keep me informed when I asked.

Truly a wonderful design of southern ingenuity. and a pleasure to do business with such a nice family business.
The most important feature of this bow is it is 100% built in the USA..

    This “Okie” thanks you..

    :

Here is archery uncomplicated. A good looking piece of kit. Waiting for a free day to go get some proper (feather-fletched) arrows and then give it a thorough beating via camping trip. Jeff and Heather are real, honest people. Buy one of their bows!

  315. 5 out of 5

    :

Good bow, like a traditional bow in a modern style. What makes it unique to any other bow out there is its portability and convenience. Other “folding” bows force you to take it down into separate parts but this one is a single piece with folding limbs.

    Merci Primal gear.

    :

Good bow, neat idea, & couldn’t have nicer people running the company, but the bow is not as sturdy as I expected.
Screws dont hold the arms in closed position, DO NOT to lose your strap!
The bow feels loose. Don’t know if normal?
I like it, but cant get it strung. Maybe it gets ez’er after time, but the string keeps slipping off.
The arrows are beautiful! And Heather a sweetheart! (though string silencers forgetten:) She went the extra mile.
Back-ordered 4 weeks, Heather was a pro! Loving & kind to me – became a friend!
The bow is a good value 4 the $, & well made. I will have to write another review once I figure out how to string it!
If you know archery, its probably fantastic, but I’m trying to figure out how to use it without breaking it:)

    :

I dont know where to begin. This thing is awesome and fits perfect in my back pack and its light weight. A must have for any outdoorman or survivalist.

  322. 4 out of 5

    :

I really like the design but wonder why the tips that are supposed to hold the strings in place have such shallow grooves. When the bow strings are loaded, any slight touch of the strings causes them to come off and the bow to snap straight, nearly injuring me. I had to wrap the string 2 x’s around one side just to get it to load. Am I missing something? This is my first bow

  323. 5 out of 5

    :

    Exactly what the doctor ordered.

  324. 5 out of 5

    :

So far I have enjoyed every arrow loosed from this bow. I also gladly give up a little pull for an increase in velocity. I love it. Thanks for an awesome product and care for your customers.

    :

I had ordered the 60 lbs bow and was contacted concerning its draw weight. I appreciate this companies honesty informing me the bow weight had changed from 60 to 55 lbs. The bow is a great setup and feels good in the hands. The grip on the riser feels good in the hand. The size is great folded to carry in a pack or attached to a pack. Great customer service. I did not give it 5 stars because its not the weight I ordered but this company is making it right for me.

  326. 5 out of 5

    :

The bow is light and extremely easy to assemble and disassemble in seconds. Its compact size allows you to transport it in your backpack out of the way.

    :

It shoots great, just the way it was advertised. Thank you

  328. 5 out of 5

    :

I shot this for the first time and didn’t know what to expect. I’ve always used compound bows. I bought the 60lb bow. First let me say it is of good quality. I am trying to get used to firing a long bow. No sights, no rest, no trigger release. Definitely a bit different. Still it shoots like a quality bow. Well worth the money. Just requires practice.

  329. 3 out of 5

    :

The build quality is excellent with an great idea to start but in my opinion the limb material is only fair in its performance. I shoot a lot and love new gear and especially something as cool as thus but I also know what a 60 lbs bow shoots like and how it draws. Although this is a very smooth shooting bow it’s more akin to shooting a 30-35 lbs bow. I did try several weights and materials of arrows trying to find the correct spine. Thanks again for all your great communication.

    :

After searching extensively for the perfect collapsable bow, Primal Gear, shows up with their unique design. a beautifully simplistic design that looks to be almost bullet proof. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, but it shoots straight and packs down light. I can’t to shoot it again.

    :

I just got my bow in this weekend after a bit of waiting and it is absolutely amazing.

So light compact when folded, but provides good power and accuracy when deployed. This is one piece of kit that will always have a place in my pack.

Simply an all around perfect take down bow. If you are looking for fit, function and a well built bow. Look no further. Great customer service as well. I just cant say enough good things about this bow or the people behind it.

An absolutely awesome piece of kit. Since receiving my bow here in the UK at the top of the week I have been practicing every evening on static targets & I must say this thing is the bomb! 60lb draw is more than enough power & used with the take down arrows it is incredibly accurate! The service I received from Heather & Jeff was superb.Congratulations on producing a great product. All the very best for the future! Thanks guys

Bow is very cool! Shoots well and assembles very fast. Bow did not come with the arrows that were advertised.

Bow works fine. Folds in smaller package than I thought.

The four rectangle depressions in the frame could contain extra strings and other survival items with some type of cover to keep item enclosed.

GoPrimalNow has created an exceptional bow! I could not be more pleased with the attention to quality. This bow is light weight compact and solid – built for a purpose – built to last. I recommend this bow to all of my friends. Thank You!

The quality of you bow really surprised me, a lot of thought went in to your product. It is truly a item I will carry with me. Your service was excellent, emails were returned quickly.

    :

Very impressed with the folding bow. Extremely durable, well made, and the idea of it is very creative.

I did a quick assembly and ready to shoot, with arrow in hand, in less than 20secs. It folds neatly and can stow in a large quiver or similar bag with room for arrows.

I was also very impressed with the communications. The response to my email(s) were prompt and upfront, which I cannot say with most companies of today.

Highly recommended for any enthusiast, survivalist, sportster, and/or hunter.

    :

Great concept and beautifully engineered. Can’t wait to use it!

  344. 5 out of 5

    :

The bow ws shipped right away and looks awesome. It is easy to put together and take down. I haven’t shot it yet because I didn’t order any arrows till a week or two later and that order will wait until the 50lb arms are in stock(my choice). I oredered the lighter arms to learn on but the sixty seems easy to pull but having the 50 lb option may come in handy if a smaller person wants to shoot a bit.

  345. 3 out of 5

    :

I’ve got a lot of bows, this guy doesn’t pull 60lbs. Closer to 45lbs. Sufficient to kill some mid-size game, but I ordered a 60 pounder and its what I expected to turn up at my house. No draw weight marks to be found either. Product quality looks OK, limb tips could be better executed (just a little rough at the string groove).
Considering the low price, it’s a pretty good little bow.

  346. 5 out of 5

    :

    This is high quality product.
It is very easy to assemble and disassemble, and switch from right hand to left hand and back.
Once I put the string on, I realized, it is very strong hunting bow. It is capable to take down any game in North America.

One of its kind. Foldable and compact ‘no screws’ ‘no bits n pieces’ all in one foldable bow. Easy to setup. Love the bow

    – Try stocking some quiver on the site

    :

I see a lot of reviews already making recommendations to improve the bow.
Gotta take into consideration mostly remember. Its a survival bow. It wasn’t/isn’t intended to be anything else.

What then, is a survival bow?

A bow that can be broken down and carried in a back pack, or in a area or place normally a bow couldn’t fit, without sacrificing overall functionality and performance.

    Primal Gear did just that.

When broken down it fits perfect in a back pack. That’s one of things I love and appreciate about this bow.

For shooting game this bow is ideal, especially small game.
Aside from having a small fishing pole/rod that also can be packed into my pack. The bow is a reliable addition to effectively kill game in survival situations and perfect for my pack.

Making changes or improvements beyond what it already is, would be taking this bow into a different direction. The functionality and purpose of the bow is fine as is.

    Great work primal gear.

  355. 3 out of 5

    :

Very well made and cannot wait to try it out. Unfortunately, most of the arrows that shipped with the bow have damaged feathers because the bow had shifted in the packaging.

  356. 5 out of 5

    :

This bow is one of the most excellent designed survival bows I have seen on the market today. Great craftsmanship, smooth, shooting, compact and versatile… Highly recommend this bow!!! If I had one request of Primal Gear, it would be to make a nice case that can hold 6 breakdown arrows, the bow, and possibly a place to put 3 broad heads safely…

  357. 5 out of 5

    :

I love this bow it’s light compact and travels easy but you should look into makeing a springloaded version cause thats prettymuch the only way to make this better

  358. 5 out of 5

    :

I love the bow. Its easier hiking around with. One thing tho, it didn’t come with good instructions. Im a city folk and it took a bit but I got it together. Maybe a parts list order form for extra parts or accessories to help you sell a bit more. But the bow, I love it and I got a few friends who want one now. Keep up the good work and I will be placing an order soon. Thanks.

    :

It is really a fun bow. My son and I shot it yesterday and we had a blast. This was a good purchase and will be a fun way to spend time with the family! I plan on bringing it out for our Thanksgiving family gathering. Last year we threw knives and every one had a blast.. This year looks like an archery year. This would be a great survival bow. Learning how to shoot a primitive style bow would be invaluable for all Prepper’s. Thanks for the quick service.

    :

I was honestly nervous about the idea of the bow, but once I got it realized how good the quality was. well constructed.

I couldn’t be happier with the product. I bought one for myself and another for my brother. The product is well built, functions exactly as described and fits easily pretty much anywhere (car, rifle bag, back slung bag or bug out bag). Nice and compact when not in use. I have test fired over 30 times since I first opened it up yesterday, and it feels like a solid bow to me. Glad to see American innovation and ingenuity at it’s best.

This is the right tool to have and it works fine and i urge everyone to buy this fine bow. Works and shoot good and thi is the finest bow i own and i chose this over all other bows.
Pros-A very good tool to have.
Cons- Non cons on this tool and nothing negitive.
Outcome- It’s all good let give em a try and put Primal gear bows on the map. It’s the right tool.

    :

Solid build, simple design and a good price point made this a nice choice for me. I have fun with this compact bow. I appreciate that a quiver can hold both the bow and the arrows for a nice portable package.

  366. 4 out of 5

    :

This bow is excellent for any bug-out pack or just to have! It really works well. The bow strings up easy enough, but with the resistance you’d expect from a quality re-curve bow. I have yet to even shoot it yet, but have seen videos of it shot and was impressed. The bow has a hefty draw weight and will definitely do the job. I’d probably give it 5 stars once I’ve used it.

  367. 5 out of 5

    :

I was looking for a recurve bow on ebay when i came across this item, i went to the Go primal’s website and checked out the bow and instantly decided i had to have it, its compact and works like a charm no rattles no issues i enjoy this bow for shooting and also for survival purposes.

    :

Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. I have been a machinist for 15 years and know when something is made by a professional of this trade. The craftsmanship of this bow is excellent. I know that this bow was made on a CNC machine, but it takes skill to make that happen. Definitely made in the USA and hopefully will stay that way. I purchased this to carry with my 10-22 takedown rifle, because it fits perfectly in the same bag and gives me something to do on those long camping trips. Thanks for making a quality product at an affordable price.
